The mission of TDC is to develop, manufacture, and market Multiline Refreshable Braille Devices, so all textbooks in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) are accessible to blind students.  However, the same technologies will be applicable to all Braille text and other areas where textural representation is required.

We at TDC strive for excellence so we can aid the visual impaired community in its strive for excellence.

Current refreshable Braille display (RBD) products are fragile, difficult to repair, and expensive. They can't display multiple lines of text or material in column format - tables, charts, newspapers, or spreadsheets. Few blind consumers can afford them; users can only read text in simplified paragraph form.

TDC will replace current single-line RBD products with Multi-line RBD products via its innovative Braille dot module (BDM) technology that simplifies construction and reduces the number of display parts and increases display reliability to achieve multi-line and full-page displays able to show text in paragraphs or in columns.

TDC will develop and manufacture its BDM which consists of 3 layers: the replaceable Tactile Pin Unit (TPU) which holds the tactile pins felt by the reader, the Braille Control Unit (BCU) which raises and lowers the tactile pins, and the Sweep Bar below the BCU layer which activates the BCU layer so tactile pins move up or down and lock in place as required.

TDC technology has many advantages over current braille technology: One sturdy BDM replaces 10 fragile braille cells; the tactile surface can be removed and cleaned by the user; and multi-line and full-page displays are manufacturable.
